Police were called to the home on Boiton Hill Road about 10.45pm Saturday following reports of a gun being discharged.
The occupants of the home were present at the time, but were uninjured in the attack, police say.
Police believe it was a targeted incident involving people known to each other, with no threat to the wider community.
They have appealed for information from the public, with witnesses urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
It's the latest in a spate of incidents involving firearms being discharged in the state's North in the past few, with a taskforce formed in response to a series of gun-related crimes.
