Thirteen Tasmanians have found their way onto AFLW lists since the 2016 draft, but only one last season as Launceston's Brooke Brown found her way to North Melbourne.
The state appears a good chance of improving that tally at Tuesday night's virtual draft with a number of Apple Islanders impressing across varying competitions.
Tasmania Devils leadership group members Ella Maurer and Jemma Blair appear among the North's top hopes having both represented the Allies earlier in the year.
AFL Tasmania's Northern talent operator Nathan Warren said the former North Launceston pair, who joined Old Scotch for season 2021, had also performed well in the women's state all-star series in June.

"They wouldn't have done their chances any harm if recruiters get a look at that vision," Warren said.
"Their club form, although they've only played a couple of club games because of the 20-game cap that's on them, they've been in good form too.
"They have the attributes that would offer a club something and they're great young citizens as well.
"Jemma goes to Scotch [Oakburn] and Ella works, she's finished school now so she's had that life experience outside of school now being in her 19th year - that tends to put them on a good path as well.
"if you were a recruiter and looking at their form ... there wasn't much to pick wrong with the way they played for the year."
Former Launceston trio Meg Sinclair, Camilla Taylor and Naomi Celebre could be looked at by AFLW clubs after playing VFL with North Melbourne throughout the season.
Sinclair played five games for the Roos, including a three-goal effort in a loss to Casey, with North-West pair Sarah Skinner (13 games) and Megan Kiely (14 games) in the same boat.
Glenorchy and New Norfolk talent Perri King appears Tasmania's most likely draftee after being named as the sole Apple Islander in the AFLW Academy.
The Devils' first-ever goal-kicker in the NAB League Girls competition last year, the 17-year-old averaged nearly 10 tackles a game in 2021 as Tasmania finished second on the ladder.
"Perri was meant to go to the draft combine last weekend in Melbourne - she's actually doing her combine within Tasmania, she'll do that in Hobart," Warren said.
"Perri being in the AFL academy - one of only 21 that got selected - would put her in good stead I would say."
Ahead of next week's AFLW draft, The Examiner takes a look at how Tasmanians have fared in the competition's five seasons to date.
