The Cavs will face Devon at the Silverdome this Saturday before a bye week, which is followed by a match against the ladder-leading Northern Hawks in Launceston.
"It's the last opportunity until we do play Hawks again," Carstens said.
"In the back of our mind ... certainly we want to be making sure that we're really honing in on some of those games - we will be going up against Cripps (Waratah, third place) as well."
"Certainly, you need to treat it week-by-week though, because Devon are performing really well at the moment as well."
ELSEWHERE IN SPORT:
Last round, the side experienced a relatively close victory against Waratah before handily dispatching the Karana Flames.
"Coming into the last block. we're just executing the little things that need to be polished week-to-week," Carstens said.
"It's just about tweaking it ... this week we looked at making sure we are still looking long but just getting the finish on our speeds in and out of the circle.
"Our strength has been our defence - we've kept teams to the lowest scores in the competition.
"It's just about building upon that and making more of an impact from the start of the game."

Marquee Cavs attacker Zoe Claridge will be out with a lingering shoulder injury as will Deanna Wadley.
With question marks over Claridge's availability for the Hawks game, paired with the season-ending injury to Hawks captain Danni Pickett, Carstens said she expected a different cross-town clash than prior rivalry games.
Nineteen-and-under players Dani Laugher and Olive Morris will suit up for the opens after also playing last week.
