A new advertising campaign has been launched to encourage Tasmanians to keep existing second dose COVID vaccine appointments.

It comes as the state's vaccination program continues into its 22nd week, with almost 44 per cent of Tasmanians having received their first dose of the vaccine.
However, less than 20 per cent are fully vaccinated, as health authorities move to rapidly increase capacity over the next few weeks.
On Tuesday state health commander Kathrine Morgan-Wicks warned community and GP clinics had started to see a small percentage of people not show up for second dose appointments.
She warned people would not be fully protected without a second dose.
Now, a series of new ads have been launched on TV, print and social media platforms reminding those who have an upcoming appointment to keep it.
The campaign features a range of Tasmanian personalities including 2021 Australian of the Year Grace Tame and Cricket Australia Hall of Fame and ex-Test cricketer David Boon.
Health Minister Jeremy Rockliff encouraged anyone who has already had one dose of the vaccine, to keep their second appointment.
"We want to ensure that everyone receives two doses of the vaccine to give themselves the greatest protection and to build on the excellent work Tasmanians have already done to lead the states in our vaccination effort," he said.
As of Wednesday afternoon Tasmania's borders remained closed to South Australia, Victoria and NSW.
A Public Health direction for people aged 12 and older who have been in Victoria since July 8 to wear face masks in public is expected to be revised on Friday.
Anyone who has returned from South Australia since July 8 are also required to wear a face mask for 14 days after their arrival in Tasmania.
