The two people killed in Monday's Midland Highway tragedy have been identified as Victorian travellers.
The crash occurred yesterday about 2.10pm when a truck travelling towards Hobart collided with a small sedan heading north.
The two male and female occupants of the sedan were killed instantly.
A police spokesperson said they were continuing the process of formally identifying the victims and notifying their next of kin.
