The 15-year-old was recently nominated for The Examiner's Junior Sport Awards as male junior sportsperson of the year.
His nomination comes after an already quality 2021 both locally and through his representation of the state.
In April, Stebbings captained Tasmania's under-15 team, which travelled to Bathurst for nationals.
There, he tallied eight goals, was named boys' player of the tournament and led his squad to a final showdown against NSW State.
Tasmania ultimately landed second place after falling at the final hurdle 2-4, however Stebbings was named as Tassie's most valuable player.
In previous years, Stebbings has also represented the state in under-12 and under-13 sides as well.
ELSEWHERE IN SPORT:
In his under-13s' campaign in 2019, he was named Tasmania's MVP.
In the state's annual inter-regional tourney in June, Stebbings proved a silver-lining in an otherwise tough weekend for the Northern teams.
He made up a significant portion of goals for the North, scoring more than five at the three-day event.
Stebbings has played hockey since he was three years old, raised in a hockey family which includes mother Lynette, father Jeremy and brother Alistair.
For his Greater Northern League side Launceston City, Stebbings has tallied two scores across nine games.
He also made his debut in the Hobart-based Premier League competition for the North West Graduates Hockey Club, starting six matches.
This is combined with his participation in the Hockey Tasmania's Northern competitions for Launceston City in both the under-16 and under-19 groupings.
There's no denying Stebbings' form has a flare of Launceston's dual Olympian Tim Deavin to it, with the former dreaming of one day representing his nation on the big stage through the Kookaburras.

Nominations are open from Wednesday, April 14, and will close at midnight on October 4.
