Businesses in Orford, Triabunna and Buckland reported significant downturn in trade over the seven weeks the highway was closed.

Infrastructure Minister Michael Ferguson said the work was necessary and the government understood the impact it had on the East Coast community.
He said the project involved the removal of about 2000 tonnes of rocks that had been identified as posing a high risk of rock fall.
Traffic will still be restricted to one lane along a 300-metre section of road while final works were completed over the next six weeks.
