Cricket Australia unveiled another 59-game season on Thursday morning, with UTAS Stadium to welcome Melbourne Stars, Adelaide Strikers and Brisbane Heat for mid-week games on October 26-27.
The Hurricanes will play their other two home games in Hobart on the weekend of November 13-14 as Bellerive Oval plays host to the Heat, Strikers and Sydney Sixers.
The season will begin on October 14 and wrap up with the final on November 27, following the first day of Australia's maiden Test clash with Afghanistan at Bellerive Oval.
Seeking a return to finals after four years as the competition's easybeats, the Hurricanes have secured the signature of the WBBL's all-time leading wicket-taker.
Former Melbourne Renegades off-spinner Molly Strano, who recently moved from Victoria to the Tasmanian Tigers, has signed with the Hurricanes for two years.
The 28-year-old has played in all 85 of the Renegades' matches to date, becoming the first bowler to 100 wickets in the process, and boasts the best international T20 figures (5-10) of any Australian cricketer.
"I made my decision to come to the Tigers a while ago now, but when it came to deciding where I was going to play my WBBL cricket it was something I had to think long and hard about, and was one of the hardest decisions I've had to make," Strano said.
"I've absolutely loved my time in red - I was there from the start and over the years we went from strength to strength and we competed in two finals series, which is something I'm really proud of.
"Moving down to Tassie was a big decision for me, so I decided to embrace the move wholeheartedly, and play for both Tasmanian teams.
"I'm looking forward to throwing myself in the deep end and learn what I can from this new environment, and I'm really excited for this next chapter."
The Hurricanes have finished eighth, eighth, seventh and eighth since making semi-finals in their first two seasons.
