The 25-year-old guard has been with United since 2018, and started 24 games in 2021 for their championship-winning season.
"It feels amazing, it is a super exciting time with a new club coming into the NBL," McDaniel said.
"I thought it was a great opportunity to get on board and get down to Tassie."
McDaniel already has plenty of ties to the Apple Isle, with his father a Southern-born Hobart Devils player between 1989 and 1994, and his partner who was born in Burnie.

"I feel like it will definitely feel like home once we get down there," he said.
"My partner has family all over Tassie and my Dad played some pretty good ball out there as well all those years ago, so I'm looking forward to it," McDaniel said.
The JackJumpers still have plenty of targets left on their radar, with 10 more signings needed to complete the roster.
