Nobody who attended the North Melbourne vs. Gold Coast Suns match at Blundstone Arena yesterday needs to isolate or be tested.
Premier Peter Gutwein said the team had strict protocols in place, and in response Public Health advised that nobody, including guests at functions attended by North Melbourne officials, need to take those precautions.
The risk has been assessed as "extremely low".
11.30AM:
North Melbourne's AFL team have been told to isolate after being in Melbourne Airport at the same time as a COVID-positive airline crew member before flying to Hobart for Saturday's match against the Gold Coast Suns.
A Virgin Australia cabin crew member, who worked whilst unknowingly a close contact, tested positive to COVID-19 on Saturday night.
According to the AFL, Kangaroos players, coaches and officials have been sent for COVID-19 tests and told to isolate, after they were at the airport on Saturday morning to board a chartered flight to Hobart - with the airport now classified as a Tier 2 exposure site.
IN OTHER NEWS:
They were in Terminal 3 at the same time as a positive case - and will need to return negative tests before they can leave isolation.
