In a Facebook post, Ms White welcomed new baby Hudson to the family, telling people he was doing "really well".
Hudson joins daughter Mia, who Ms White said is thrilled to be a big sister, despite saying repeatedly she didn't want a brother.
On Thursday June 24, Ms White issued a statement saying that she would be taking parental leave from Friday June 25 and return on Monday August 16.
Ms White has received congratulations from across the sector, with former Labor David Bartlett adding his congratulations on Twitter on Saturday.
After contesting the recent state election during her pregnancy, Ms White stepped down as Labor leader in May.
