A firearm was discharged into the air near a property in Wilmslow Avenue about 11.30pm, police say.
Nobody was injured in the incident.
Initial investigations suggest the incident happened after a brief altercation at the front of the property between a woman armed with a wooden implement and three men, believed to be aged in their 20s.
Acting Inspector Ben Duffey said the altercation is believed to have occurred after an earlier incident in Moonah - part of an ongoing feud between the parties.
"Early investigations indicate that the three men ran back to a dark coloured sedan parked on the street approximately 20 metres from her front door and one has let off two shots into the air from a firearm," he said.
