Members of the committee are hoping for a successful night to raise funds to support those suffering mental health issues.
For every No. 4 dog (wearing the blue rug) that wins, the LGRC will donate $500 to be matched by Tasracing.
If No. 4 is not successful in any race, Tasracing will still contribute $2000 and the LGRC will also make a donation.
Trainers Anthony Bullock, Blake Pursell and Nick Howard have agreed to support the cause by wearing blue coloured shorts while parading their dogs on the track.
Bullock has committed to donate $150 for Pursell and Howard joining the cause.
There are multiple prizes to be won on the night.
Entry to the track is free and the club encourages patrons to show their support by also wearing blue shorts.
Action on the track will centre on the heats of the Tasmanian Derby and Tasmanian Oaks and the final of the Winter Stakes.
The two heats of the Oaks each have short-priced favourites, with the Greyhound Recorder assessing Aston Ajok and Buckle Up Kenzie at $1.35 and $1.55 respectively.
Man Over Board ($1.65) and Trying Again ($2.00) head the markets on the Derby heats.
Amy Cora is favourite for the Winter Stakes at $2.40.
