It has been full steam ahead for the groundskeeping team which had a shorter turnaround than usual to get Tasmania's home of footy prepared for AFL action.
Groundskeeper Adam Spargo said he was proud of how the team pulled together to get the work done on schedule.
"We are honoured to do it, to have the contracts in place, and that the Essendon part of it's probably just created a bit of talk around town, it's really good to have back and to be talking about footy again," he said.
"It's a real reward for the guys there."
IN OTHER NEWS:
The turnaround has seen the team pull together from the groundskeeping team and the council.
"[It's about] co-ordinating with the [team] and the weather, it's a lot of management but with some very good people."
The match is sold out and starts at 3.20pm.
