Due to COVID restrictions in Victoria, North Melbourne will lock horns with Brisbane on Saturday afternoon at Bellerive Oval.

"There's been lots of people who have helped me over the years who are from Tassie so it's nice getting that milestone game here," Fagan said.

"Mum [just] lives along the road - it's something she didn't expect she'd be able to do but she can come to the game now and feel a part of it."

In another twist of fate, Fagan will match-up against former pupil, Kangaroos coach and fellow Queenstowner David Noble.

"He spent a lot of time with us and helped set up what we've got going at Brisbane now," Fagan said.

"He's doing a good job with North, they're improving every week so it'll be a good challenge - I'm sure he's looking forward to it as much as I am."

Last weekend's Kangaroos draw against the Giants drew a gathering of 3462 to Bellerive. Fagan hoped for a solid turnout given Brisbane's coaching staff and roster contains a few Tassie talents including Grant Birchall and Mitch Robinson.

"It's a really good opportunity for Tasmanians to come and have a look at two of the really great players that have ever come from here," he said.

"I don't know how much longer Birch and Robbo are going to play, it'll be good for people to have a look at them here at Bellerive."
