It's not going to be difficult at all, I've got heaps of support around me
- Gemma Poke on becoming Hawks captain
She's no Danni Pickett, but latest Hawks signing Courtney Treloar will add her own MVP-calibre skills to the side for the rest of the season.
Hawks veteran and captain Pickett was ruled out for the remainder of the season with a ruptured Achilles two weeks ago.
Treloar has played goal shooter with the Cavaliers 19-and-under side, and was named most valuable player in their grand final win over Waratah last year.
"We're so stoked to have her now," Hawks acting captain Gemma Poke said.
"She's another really tall, strong goalie [attacker] who's gone through the high performance programs at Netball Tas - we're really glad she can stay in the system and play a bit of netball with us."

As for exchanging the black and green for gold and brown, Poke said Treloar fit in well with the premiership-winning Hawks squad.
"She's fit in seamlessly. It's pretty easy when you have someone like Ash Mawer out the back in shooter to match in with," she said.
"She's not going to have any issues fitting in at all - we've still got a really strong attacking end."
With Pickett out, vice-captain Poke will move into the top role, with Mawer sliding in as vice.
"[It] was a huge blow to lose Danni, I've always been used to being her vice captain so it's a bit hard without her," Poke said.
"But I'm looking forward to the challenge.
"We've had the team together for so long now and we're really tightly knit team, which is why I think it rolled us so much when we lost Danni.
"It's not going to be difficult at all, I've got heaps of support around me, including with Ash [Mawer] stepping up too."
