The popular outgoing governor was a welcome guest to the aged care home, staying to enjoy a high tea with residents and staff.
At 102, Eileen Holcroft is Japara Sandhill's oldest resident and was honoured to present the governor with a bouquet of flowers.

Professor Warner was appointed Tasmania's first female governor in 2014, something she touched on during her speech to the Japara residents.
Speaking about having her photograph taken the other day in preparation for her official portrait, Professor Warner acknowledged that her portrait would "be the only woman in a room full of men".
Professor Warner's term as governor ends in June and she is looking forward to continuing her work as an academic as Emeritus Professor of Law at the University of Tasmania.
