A man who was in his Waverley living room when two shots were fired through his front window says the bullets missed him by inches.

Police were called to the Fryett Street home about 12.30am on Wednesday.
The sole occupant, Paul Retschlag, said he was on his couch when he stood up to see why someone was parked outside his home.
"That's when the shots went off," he said.
Mr Retschlag said he heard "boom, boom", with the shots leaving a hole in his front window "big enough to throw a bike helmet through".
He was shaken, but uninjured in the ordeal, but was concerned about the safety of his two cats.
In a statement, Tasmania Police said they were investigating the incident, but confirmed two shots were fired through the front window of the house.
"Uniform police, forensic officers and detectives attended the scene and several exhibits were collected," they said.

Police would like to speak to anyone that heard a loud V6 vehicle in the Waverley area around 12.30am on Wednesday.
Residents in the area are also being asked to check any CCTV or dash cam footage, and to report anything suspicious to the police.
There have now been at least 12 incidents involving firearms being discharged in the state's North in the past two months, with a taskforce formed in response to a series of gun-related crimes.
A police spokesman said the taskforce was continuing to actively investigate all information provided regarding illegal firearms in the community.
"Police have seized a total of 25 illegal firearms in the past four weeks, as well as over 1000 rounds of ammunition and quantities of drugs including ice," they said.
"We know that there are people out there in the community who know people in possession of illegal firearms.
"Please come forward provide information so we can take these illegal firearms off the street permanently."
