Tamar Community Peace Trust are bringing the festival back in August and are looking any community members and organisations wanting to get involved.
The theme for this year's festival is recovery and Tamar Community Peace Trust chairwoman Donna Bain said the theme was poignant.
"We feel as the community moves through this next phase from coming out of COVID that peace ties in really well with connectedness and helping each other, all those wonderful things we saw," she said.
"We were keen to encourage the community to keep doing those good things and to continue to keep an eye on each other as we move through this community phase."
IN OTHER NEWS:
The diverse festival shows an eclectic offering of events for people to enjoy. Previous events have included coffee ceremonies, bicycle tours, poetry reading, community dinners and kite flying.
Ms Bain said the diversity of events is something that makes the Peace Festival special.
"What I really love about the Peace Festival is the Peace Trust doesn't organise the festival, what the Peace Trust does is provide a platform," she said.
"We say to the community 'this is your festival' ... it really empowers the community."
"The Peace is all about encouraging people to take part in the process and think about peace everyday."
The Festival is open to all people of all ages, places and abilities with the Trust eager to get people involved as soon as possible.
"Essentially, communities can do anything that they would like to do all we ask is that it be connected with the theme of the Peace Festival and the values of the Peace Festival," she said.
"We encourage them to register their event online ... which allows us to support them and promote the event."
The Peace Festival will be on from August 1 to 7 with some special announcements, including a guest speaker, planned in the lead up to the event. See the Tamar Valley Peace festival website to register.
