Coaches Jake Pearce and Corry Goodluck instigated the match-up alongside Speak Up! Stay ChatTY to raise awareness of something important to both sides.

"People are afraid to talk and if they are not going to talk to the footy players, their mates, they aren't going to talk to anyone," Hillwood's Pearce said.

"I feel that the more comfortable you can be around your teammates and build those relationships within the football club, it makes it a lot easier for players to talk - they are not going to feel belittled, insecure or less manly if they do speak up.

"For our group, it's tough at the moment with a lot of young kids, so we've got to really focus on that as well and that's something that's really big, not just for our club but for any club."

Both sides have had the organisation visit their football clubs and deliver speeches, with Bracknell playing for the Speak Up! Stay ChatTY cup last season against Meander Valley.

"It's something that goes through a lot of footy clubs that people are unaware of and something that we take very seriously at Bracknell," coach Goodluck said.

"We always make sure everyone's alright, they speak up [if they aren't] and they are not alone.

"It's something that we really pride ourselves on, being there for each other."
