"Museums are a reflection of the place, people and time," general manager of arts and cultural services Tracy Puklowski said.

"QVMAG is excited to share the next phase of our evolution with the Launceston community."
The museum will be launching its new permanent displays at the Royal Park site in August.
"We are committed to making sure that more Tasmanian stories are told," Ms Puklowski said.
Senior curator of visual arts and design Ashleigh Whatling said the new displays would show more diversity, and include familiar favourites and hidden gems.
"The new display will reflect our histories, identities and stories in a fresh and contemporary context."
