Someone is waking up today $2.5 million richer, with Waterfront News & Lotto in Devonport selling a winning division one TattsLotto ticket.
The newsagent made the announcement this morning, stating it is the second division one winner the business has seen in less than 12 months.
Co-owner Rod Hurley said it had been a "very exciting" day.
"We sold a division one ticket in July last year that was for $2 million, so to sell a second one is fantastic," Mr Hurley said.
"Each time someone has come in today it's been 'is it them? Or is it them?'"
"For us, it is really exciting to play even a small part in what is an incredibly life-changing win... I'm just disappointed it's not mine."
The ticket is registered, with TattsLotto busily working to contact the big winner.
At this stage, the winnings haven't been claimed.
Mr Hurley co-owns Waterfront News & Lotto with Chris Bates.
