A hard fought comeback by the Suns had them beating St Pats for the first time in club history; coach Damien Rhind said he was pleased with his team's attitude.
"Perseverance was a word our supporters used to describe how we played on the weekend," he said.
"It's something we've been trying to instill over the last few weeks: that never-give-up attitude so it was really pleasing to get that feedback from outside of the playing group."
After losing to the Old Launcestonians by 102 points last week, the Magpies will hope to catch the Suns off-guard on home turf.
"The score didn't reflect the competitiveness of the game. We were quite competitive throughout the game," Perth coach Danny Bennett said.
"They're [Suns] going to be up and about after a few good wins.
"We're really focussed on our conversion and execution this week as well as applying pressure and effort for longer periods which will set us up to have a chance of winning this game."

OLD SCOTCH will get a chance to gauge their finals prospects against an unbeaten LILYDALE side at the NTCA Ground.
Collegians coach Brayley Coombes was optimistic his team could hold its own against the Demons.
"Everything we've been working on has been in order to match it with the best and Lilydale are obviously that," he said.
"They're a really tight unit that have played a lot footy together now, not dissimilar to what we were about seven years ago.
"It's going to be a massive test and we'll know five o'clock Saturday where we're at."
After taking a beating from the competition's top side, UTAS will test its mettle against EAST COAST at Newnham.
Down two key forwards, UTAS coach Brodie Tiernan said his squad showed fight against the Demons, and hoped his young team would employ what they've learned from facing top teams into their own brand.
"We're trying to work on our running spread and two-way running - that's the biggest thing the good teams do really well," he said.
ST PATS will put their final term loss to the Suns behind them, facing an EVANDALE team looking to do the same.
Saints coach Jake Lowe credited Meander Valley on their four-quarter pressure, and was eager to see his relatively fresh squad get comfortable in coming games.
"We've brought into our senior side ... 20 new players out of a squad of 26 so it always takes a bit of time to gel with that," he said. Eagles coach Sam Bouwman said his side was eager to get back on the field and win their first game for the season.
"It opens up an opportunity for us ... we've got a few injuries coming back so we're pretty keen," he said.
OLD LAUNCESTONIANS will be without goalscorers Jay Schulz, Richard Howe and Jake Goodyer for their game against BRIDPORT.
"Bridport presents a bit of an unknown at this stage ... we've just got to come in with the same mindset we've had in the last couple of weeks, we should go okay," OLFC coach Laine Cleaver said.
