Gedi Krusa and Luca Vigilante returned from travels and injury respectively to provide a similarly industrious defensive midfield presence for Launceston City and Riverside.
Vigilante made his first start since suffering a shattering ankle injury in the derby win at City a year ago and Olympic coach Alex Gaetani was delighted to have his Argentinean back.
"Luca's such an important player for us, he's one of our strongest players and would be for any team and makes a huge difference," he said.
"Having leaders like him around makes a big difference to the vibe of the group."
A Will Humphrey penalty saw Olympic come back into the contest against Glenorchy before Nick Mearnes pounced in injury-time to seal a 3-1 away win.
"It's been a challenging two weeks after the Launceston City result," Gaetani said of the 3-2 loss at Prospect. "There was a lot of mental stuff we had to fix and that was really pleasing.
"Now we've just got to keep going the way we are. We try not to be too devastated when we lose or be over the top when we win, which we will next week.
"Clarence are a strong side with some good players so will need to play like we did in the second half against Glenorchy."
Teenager Mason Gardner's first NPL goal was City's consolation from a 4-1 loss at Olympia on Saturday and Lino Sciulli's men face another tough trip south to play second-placed Glenorchy at KGV.
