And Senator Jacqui Lambie believes the party can win it.
"In 2019, I managed to get elected with bugger-all money, with no staff, with no office," she said.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"This time around, I'm one up on where I was, and all the JLN has to do is not go backwards in votes."
The Jacqui Lambie won 31,383 votes in the last election, of which 19,241 were above-the-line votes for the party and 12,051 were personal first-preference votes for Senator Lambie.
Senator Lambie said Tasmanians continued to look beyond the two main parties in voting for political representatives.
"People like Sue Hickey, Kristy Johnston and Craig Garland at the state election all polled out of their skins despite not having the backing of a major party," she said.
"Andrew Wilkie is basically winning his federal seat by just turning up these days."
Senator Lambie said the JLN candidates would be revealed as soon as the pre-selection process concluded.
"We're running in every seat in Tasmania, and we'll run in the Senate," she said.
"I wouldn't pre-select someone who I couldn't work with, who doesn't care about what I care about, who isn't in it for the right reasons.
"The candidates I'm running, I'm running because they'd do a damn good job sticking up for Tasmania.
"That's the job. That's what everyone's supposed to be doing."
