McKenney is the national ambassador for the Greyhound Adoption Program and made quite a stir with his entourage of four-legged friends on Thursday.
Attending his first ever Agfest "but hopefully not his last", McKenney was on the ground to promote greyhound adoption.
"They are just the most beautiful, gentle breed of dog," he said.
All creatures great and small was the theme of day two, with Craggy Island Highland Cattle enjoying a steady number of visitors to their exhibit.
Highland cows are a heritage breed of cattle that have seen a sharp increase in popularity over the past few years.
"At the moment, their popularity is at an all time high in Tassie and around the country," Craig McSwain, of Craggy Island Highland Cattle said.
Mr McSwain has been breeding Highland cattle for the past 10 years and is attending his third Agfest in 2021, making the trip up from Penna in the state's South.
Despite the noticeable reduction in attendees this year, Mr McSwain found day two to be slightly busier, with their exhibit stopping many in their tracks - with the Highland calves in particular captivating the hearts of attendees.
When compared to previous years, Mr McSwain said "the peaks aren't as busy, but it's a steady flow of people throughout the day".
The event continues today.
