It's not every day you find dinosaurs in the middle of town, but that's exactly what is happening this week at Country Club Tasmania.

The grounds at the Prospect Vale venue have recently been overtaken by prehistoric animals, with Jurassic Creatures set to open this Friday - much to the excitement of fans.
The exhibit has travelled extensively around Australia for the past two years and has only recently made its way across the Bass Strait.
After selling tens of thousands of tickets Australia-wide, Jurassic Creatures promises to be an extremely popular event for the community.
For Country Club Tasmania marketing manager Steven Neville, the exhibit was one they were "very keen to be able to show".
Set to captivate the young and old alike, Jurassic Creatures features more than 30 dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures brought to life with realistic animatronics.
The highlight for many will undoubtedly be the T-Rex that towers over attendees as they first enter the exhibit in addition to an Ice Age demonstration that features a very noisy wooly mammoth.
Attendees can get up close and personal with the dinosaurs exhibits in addition to an array of dinosaur-themed activities.
For Mr Neville, activities such as the interactive fossil digging display, 3D dinosaur jigsaw making and the carnival games are all highlights.
"There really are activities for kids and adults of all ages, with more tactile activities on offer as well as the dinosaurs on show," he said.
While the exhibit has been on the move, it's the outdoor bushland of the Launceston setting that is expected to add an extra element of excitement for audiences.
Mr Neville also feels that the 6.30pm show added to a "darker, more 'Jurassic Park' atmosphere" that is sure to exhilarate the bolder attendees.
Country Club Tasmania is also getting in on the fun with restaurants bringing dinosaur-themed delicacies to the menu.
Keep an eye out for pizzas in the shape of dinosaur footprints and "tetradactyl wings" on offer for those looking to dine before or after their dinosaur experience.
- Jurassic Creatures is on from May 7 - 23 May at the Country Club Lawns. Tickets are available online at countryclubtasmania.com.au.
