On Wednesday, the health ministry released new figures which showed 304,900 doses of the vaccine have been given out.
That includes 87,298 people who are fully vaccinated after receiving two doses of the Pfizer vaccine.
NZ is attempting to vaccinate its entire population by the end of the year with the Pfizer shot, beginning with border and health workers and their families.
The government's rollout strategy begins slowly, before a huge acceleration mid-year when more residents become eligible.
According to its own targets, it is three per cent ahead of schedule.
The opposition has attacked the rollout, claiming NZ ranks 116th in the world for pace of vaccination.
