Videos are on the agenda for the Northern Midlands Council to promote its towns to a tune of an estimated $55,140.
The council will consider funding the promotional videos in its 2021/22 budget, after council officers investigated the costs.
IN OTHER NEWS:
The project focused on 'Delight in the [extra]ordinary' has been budgeted at $48,000 for the production of the videos - including eight TV commercials, 30 social media videos, a minimum of 10 minutes of edited footage, 50 to 100 images and videos formatted to different mediums - and advertising for 47 ads for $7140, with the cost of talent yet to be confirmed.
The idea behind the videos was to jump on the back of the statewide marketing campaign of Tasmania to encourage people to visit the region's towns and to encourage more people to move to the region.
