The scene of an earlier crash has now been cleared.
A pedestrian was taken to hospital by ambulance after being struck by a car on the corner of Cimitiere and Tamar streets.
Their injuries were not reported as being serious.
EARLIER: A pedestrian has been hit by a car in Launceston's CBD this afternoon.
Emergency services rushed to the scene of the accident at the corner of Cimitiere and Tamar streets shortly before 2pm on Tuesday.
Police were diverting traffic at the intersection, but the road is now open to traffic. Paramedics and firefighters were also on scene.
The injuries of those involved are unknown at this stage.
