As the campaign trail enters its final week, the Bass Liberal Party team announced $735,000 for a multipurpose sports and recreation facility at the site of the Exeter Show.
It follows a number of community commitments from all parties.
The Liberal Member for Bass, Sarah Courtney, said that since 2019, the Exeter Show Society has been considering options for the Showgrounds and had decided that that a new building will be the best use of space and maintain its prominent position.

"On average the Exeter Show attracts around 4000 visitors to its annual show which has been using the grounds for 110 years.
"Agricultural shows are an important part of our social fabric, and as a Government we are committed to their future," Ms Courtney said.
Premier Peter Gutwein said the centre would secure the site as a hub for the region's sporting groups.
The $735,000 commitment to go towards the $2.2 million project which will also deliver age-appropriate change rooms and toilets.
Liberal Member for Bass Michael Ferguson said that more than 120 children train at the showgrounds each week as part of the Tamar Valley Junior Football Club.
"The Exeter Cricket Club has been using the ground for more than 100 years, with the Exeter Art Studios, West Tamar Municipal Band and Exeter Sheep Dog Club just a few of the other community groups that use the Centre on a regular basis.
