Ravenswood Heights Primary School have held a moving and solemn remembrance ceremony ahead of Anzac day on Sunday.

The ceremony, which involved the whole school, featured a music and a drama presentation by students as well as the last post and singing.
Former serviceman Ron Baines also treated the audience to a song to close the proceedings to much applause.
Lorraine Curtis said that it was important to recognise the events like Anzac day while showcasing the students talents.
"We decided as a school it was really important to celebrate Anzac Day ... [Jason Gunn] has put together an arts program with music, drama and visual arts for the [students]," she said.
"[The ceremony] was a lovely way to pull all of that together and remember Anzac Day."

The presentation bought members of the Ravenswood Heights Primary School community together including teachers, students and parents.
Ms Curtis said the events like the Anzac Day remembrance ceremony helped foster a sense of community.
"We want to grow our students awareness of past events, it helps them develop the skills of empathy, understanding of how the past has made our future that much brighter," she said.
"The importance of celebrating Anzac day is for children to understand the sacrifices that have been made before to make sure they have a nice life."
Principal Jason Gunn was praised for his leadership by staff members.
In a speech at the ceremony, Mr Gunn spoke passionately about how proud he was of the students for performing and engaging in the Anzac day remembrance tribute .
"I don't think I've ever been in a school where I've been so proud of the people in the school and that goes for everyone from our groundsmen to our assistant principal to our teachers and importantly, our students," he said.
"This is an amazing community, there's so many community members that make this community one of the best in Tasmania."
