Falling to Longford and Bracknell, Parrots coach Phil Lethborg has been impressed with Ryan Sheppard and Sam Curtis after returning from years off.
"It [last week] was an improved effort on round one, so that was what we were aiming for but we just weren't consistent enough so we are looking for consistent improved effort," he said.
Tigers coach Andrew Cox-Goodyer predicted several debutants for the clash, after playing three quarters of "the way we want to play football" last week.
"As long as we come out and are willing to learn and play our roles for the team, we should be competitive in any game we play in," he said.
"We are just looking to keep improving week-in, week-out."
Two of the league's undefeated crew, Deloraine and Scottsdale, go head-to-head in what Kangaroos coach Lochy Dornauf predicted to be a heated contest.

His side have started slow in their two victories this season, and as a result, he is looking for a four-quarter effort.
"There's always a bit of heat in the Scottsdale-Deloraine games just given the two rural communities and rivalry that's been there for so long so we are wary of that," Dornauf said.
"We are also wary of the players that they've got but we've got a pretty good line-up that will go in largely unchanged."
Using the bye to work on their defence, Magpies assistant coach Lochie Young is backing their game plan as captain Joe Robinson misses through suspension.
"We are just trying to control what we can control and that's if we follow our game plan properly, we can be very competitive against them," Young said.
"They've got some quality players but we will look to go head-to-head, man on man and make it a good game."
Conquering "one of the toughest away wins" last week, South Launceston is looking for a win on its home soil against Hillwood.
Coach Anthony Taylor isn't discounting the win-less Sharks, describing them as well-coached by opposing number Jake Pearce.
"We obviously look into Hillwood and what we think they'll bring but at the end of the day, we've got to look at getting our own structures right, our team right and looking forward to playing some good quality footy," he said.
Aaron Viney and Rory Mansell miss for the Dogs, while Sharks captain Jarrod Frankcombe will miss with injury as Hillwood aims to bounce back from defeat against Deloraine.
"We've got an even tougher task this week against South Launnie, who I consider to be one of the premiership contenders," Pearce said.
"These guys are probably the benchmark for the season, so I think bringing effort is probably the biggest thing for us this week and see how we go."
George Town hosts its first game since 2019 against Bracknell and is doing so in style, celebrating the commitments of the region's veterans in an Anzac Day service.
The Saints were given a football lesson by Longford last week but coach Adam Zanevra took the positives out of it, saying "the only way is up" as they welcome back experienced names Todd Crane and Troy Spinks.
"It was a big learning experience [for our young guys] and they showed us where we need to be at," he said.
"We are hoping to lift our pressure and be a bit stronger over the ball at the contest."
Redlegs coach Corry Goodluck is looking for a strong, four-quarter effort from his charges after dropping off in the second quarter last week.
"All our focus now is on George Town, they'll be up and about with a big game this week being Anzac Day at their home ground, which is always a good day for them," he said.
