A question from the public revealed the total cost of the council's depot building, including the access road, wash down bay, wastewater system, security fencing and the TasWater supply pipeline for the depot.
The council's acting general manager Dwaine Griffin said it cost a total of $418,811.
IN OTHER NEWS:
The council constructed the depot on a private mining lease at Briseis Hole despite several written warnings from Parks and Wildlife Service early last year that it did not have development approval.
It was built on Crown Land, without permission and without final and proper survey to match Mineral Resources Tasmania's mining lease boundary.
