The 16-year-old grandson of Tasmanian Motorsport Hall of Famer Greg Crick helped out in the pits during the Supercars at Symmons Plains.

Parker helped out in the background with the exciting Stadium Super Trucks.

"It's been great fun and pretty cool," he said.

"I wasn't here with them [Supercars] in 2019, I didn't have the gear, but I was out there watching.

"This year, I've been lucky enough to work with them which has been pretty cool."

With plenty of bits and pieces falling off the trucks as they launched off jumps and tilted on turns, Parker had his work cut out for him after each race.

"We're just trying to keep them straight ... we've been changing a few bodies around and doing a bit of mechanical work - just trying to keep them out there," he said.

"I've just been doing what I can wherever I can, there's a lot to do of course to keep them running."

As for having a go in the trucks, Parker's answer was an excitable yes.

"Of course I would - it'd be awesome fun, who wouldn't? I'll just have to be in the right place at the right time but they're pretty cool," he said.

"I jumped in one the other day because we had to move it.

"It's such a cool thing, it's so different to anything else you can drive anywhere in Australia at the moment, that's for sure."

Crick also attended the Supercars, however neither saw each other as they attended to their own duties in the pits.

"I actually didn't see that much of him, he's been busy and I've been flat-out as well," Parker said.

"I saw him at lunchtime on Sunday but that was about the first time I saw him."

But Parker was able to chat with a few curious Supercars drivers who meandered over to check out the trucks.

This included the rising stars of 22-year-old Will Brown and 23-year-old Brodie Kostecki.

"I've spoken to a few of them - they come over because they want to see how cool the trucks are," Parker said.

"They're pretty keen on the weekend."

The young Hyundai Excel racer said he had his eyes set on making it to the Supercars some day.

"That's the dream - that's what you're always desiring and dreaming about," he said.

"I've never actually driven in one but I've gone to a practice day with Paul Morris, it's certainly another one I'd like to try."
