Labor has pledged $150,000 to support Launceston homeless support group Strike it Out.

Of that funding, $100,000 would fit out 10 sleep pods and $50,000 would cover costs to set up 24 lockers in the CBD.

Bass Labor MHA Jennifer Houston said with Launceston shelters at full capacity, the new sleep pods were critically important.
"[The pods] provide a safe and clean space for vulnerable people," she said.
Ms Houston added the locker system would provide a safe, secure and dry space for the homeless to store their belongings.
