About 170 teams comprising 1800 participants aged between five and 16 years old represent the logistical challenges of the Northern Tasmanian Junior Soccer Association season.
Bouncing back after a COVID-hit 2020 roster, Churchill Park will once again become a weekly hive of activity from this weekend with A-League club Western United joining in the fun.
The season kicks off on Friday night although the official opening ceremony will be at 10.30am on Saturday with assorted dignitaries and Football Tasmania staff in attendance.
Western United players are also expected to pop along with face painting, jumping castles and on-site promotional give-aways adding to the occasion's carnival atmosphere.
The club-run kiosk at the venue's central clubhouse is set to reopen after a year break due to COVID restrictions and will be operated by Launceston City Devils.
NTJSA staff called for patrons' patience in the new car park at the end of Forster Street with space at a premium due to ongoing construction on Churchill Park's two new fields.
