The 25-year-old will bring up his 100^th career race as Supercars returns to Symmons Plains for the first time in two years.

"To be honest I didn't know it was a milestone moment until I got told about it - it's just snuck up on me, I can't believe it's already been 100 races," he said.

"It's gone really fast - it feels like yesterday I made my debut at a Supercars championship.

"It's certainly a stat I'm not counting - I want to be counting race wins and podiums, that's what we're always focusing on.

"If I can put more numbers in those tallies it'll make me a lot happier."

Winterbottom ready to heat up Symmons Plains

Having made his Supercars debut in 2017, the South Australian enjoyed a promising 2020, recording his first ever podium and pole position.

He sits 13^th in the rankings after a season-best eighth-placed finish at Sandown, with teammate Nick Percat in eighth overall.

"For me it was a bit of a breakthrough season," Hazelwood said.

"[It was] my first year working for the team at Brad Jones Racing and having access to teammates to bounce ideas off as well.

"We had some really good momentum on our side last year and we're hoping to do more again in 2021."

The Tasmania SuperSprint will take place on Saturday and Sunday.
