The titles, starting on Wednesday, follow on from the age and multiclass championships at Southport.
Among the competitors is world champion and former Launceston swimmer Ariarne Titmus, 20, now with Brisbane-based St Peters Western. Other high-profile competitors include Rio Olympians Emma McKeon, Kyle Chalmers, Cate Campbell and Mitch Larkin.
Finals will be swum in the morning and heats in the evening, in line with the Tokyo Olympic programming.
Among the Northern Tasmanians taking part are Launceston Aquatic Club's Dawson Howell, Georgia Woods and Emily Mitchell, and South Esk's Morgen Hawkins.
LAC secretary Sally Morgan said Mitchell, 15, who has already competed in the age titles, would now race in the open competition as she had achieved the necessary qualifying times.
Trent McLaughlin and Abbey Savage are coaching the LAC swimmers. Savage received a coaching scholarship to attend.
"Launceston Aquatic Club is proud to see the largest group of swimmers attending these meets in several years," Morgan added. "The qualifying times required to achieve individual swims comes through commitment and dedication to their sport."
Monday was the last day of the age titles. Four swimmers from LAC achieved qualifying times for individual swims: Isabella Muldoon, Taylor Brock, Emily Mitchell and Jessica Homan. Peter Tonkin was their coach.
