NTFA returns

Local football returns to almost normality on Saturday with the NTFA's two divisions kicking off the season around the grounds. In premier division's showcase contest, South Launceston host Bracknell with the two premiership contenders looking to make up for disappointing showings in 2019.

Burlesque Show

Contemporary students of the ancient art of burlesque striptease say the saucy moves for them are all about body positivity and feeling comfortable in their skin as they bump, shimmy, and strut their stuff on stage. Devonport's Devil's Burlesque Academy, will hold a variety show at the Launceston Workers' Club on April 10.
Royal Park Series

Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra presents Razumovsky Quartet as part of the Royal Park series in collaboration with the Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery. The unique Royal Park Series is the first time the TSO and QVMAG have teamed up, with the art gallery acting as an enthralling backdrop for the orchestra's first concert series of 2021. Art Extravaganza
April 7-11, 10am-5pm, free entry
Before the cooler months arrive and hibernation sets in, a special extravaganza will highlight the work of talented artists. Exeter Art Studios is hosting an extravaganza to mark the end of its third year of operating out of the show hall at Exeter Showgrounds. However, the studio also closes over the cooler months, so the extravaganza will also be the last opportunity - until November - to browse the artwork and maybe purchase a piece or two. The studio has a wide range of art on show including watercolour and oil paintings, prints, woven and woolen items, silk scarfs, sculptures, cards and more.
Street Eats
April 11, 10am-2pm, free entry
The tongue-tingling sensations of cuisines from all around the world will come to an end this weekend, as one market shuts shop for the cooler months. World Street Eats, held every second and fourth Sunday of the month at Civic Square, will have its last market of the season on April 11. The final market will have some surprises in store for its patrons, with dancing from both the Latin communities in Hobart and Launceston, as well as performances from SwingMania, and Tassie Tenor.
