There has been more attention on the party's factional infighting than its pledges and policy announcements since the election was called on March 26.
Arguably the worst day for Labor leader Rebecca White was on Wednesday when one candidate, Ben McGregor had to stand down for inappropriate text messages directed at a former female friend in a group chat some years ago.
IN OTHER NEWS:
In announcing his withdrawal from the campaign, Mr McGregor took a swipe at Ms White's leadership, saying she had endorsed grubby politics within the party.
The same day, candidate Fabiano Cangelosi issued a scathing attack on his own party's policy on gambling and poker machines.
Visiting Launceston on Thursday with Ms White, Mr Albanese said voters would be more concerned about issues raised by Labor rather than the politics being played out on the sideline.
"I know there have been some issues here - but there are issues with the Liberal Party as well," he said.
"I think that the next four weeks will show that Labor has an absolute priority on jobs and on making a difference for Tasmanians.
"And I'll say this about the start of the Labor campaign, Rebecca White has shown that she has the courage and the leadership capacity to lead Tasmania.
"The first thing you have to do is to be able to lead your team and to make tough decisions.
"Rebecca White has shown that she's been prepared to do that."
He said voters would not be deterred by internal party problems.
"I think there's a bit of noise," Mr Albanese said.
"Voters will be focused on themselves."
