Chloe White is eager to continue her pursuit and love for hockey as the under-15 Tasmanian team gears up for Victoria.
The 14-year-old Exeter High School student has been to two previous nationals; White said she was extremely excited for a third.
This will also be the first nationals White has vice-captained.
She said the new role brought a number of new and exciting facets to her game.
"I haven't really done it before," White said.

The young Launceston City striker said she got her admiration for hockey from her father Ian.
"Dad was playing hockey before I did and he just introduced me to it and I just fell in love with it," she said.
This year's under-15 nationals are set to be held in Bathurst later this week.
White said herself and a predominantly Southern state team were ready for the week-long series.
"There's a lot of training and most of it's down in Hobart - a lot of fitness [training] ball skills and stuff like that," she said.
