The incident led to a significant disruption for the business, with some services shut down.
Federal Group executive general manager Daniel Hanna said the company was taking the matter "extremely seriously" and had shut down some of their services as a "precautionary measure".
"We are doing this to ensure that the integrity of our systems and data is maintained at all times," Dr Hanna said.
"As a result, electronic gaming machines at Wrest Point and Country Club are not currently operating.
"Table gaming has been restored at the casinos, after a brief shut down [Saturday] night, and will be operating this evening [Sunday]."
Some check-in facilities at both hotels have also been impacted.
Dr Hanna said the company is working with cyber experts to restore functions as quickly as possible.
