Six debutants took to the field as Launceston completed as 55-point round one win over North Launceston.
Blue Zach Morris was happy to kick off his senior career with a win before lining up for the Tassie Devils in next weekend's NAB League season opener at Windsor Park.
"It definitely felt a lot quicker than D-League," the 18-year-old said.
"It was heated at the start and tough, quick footy."
The Northern Bombers handed debuts to five teenagers with Harry Bayles unlucky not to hit the scoreboard and Michael Stingel laying a goal-saving tackle in the second term.
"We had five senior debutants - a quarter of the team," North coach Brad Cox-Goodyer said.
"They had their moments and they might struggle in other things, so we've just to be able to ride that wave with them, keep teaching them and if they do something wrong not to be too negative because they're still learning.
"There's a lot of positives to take out of [the game] for sure."
