A man has suffered a large laceration to the back of his head following an attack at a unit complex in Invermay on Tuesday afternoon.

Police were called to the address on New Street at 3.48pm and locked the area down while searching for the offender.
The victim - described as a middle-aged male - was taken to the Launceston General Hospital, but his condition was not considered serious.
Sergeant Ivan Radosavljevic said the man was "bleeding profusely" and was "quite dazed" when paramedics arrived to treat him, with the attack occurring within the unit complex.
"We received information that a male was struck to the back of the head, we believe with a weapon, we're unsure what the weapon is at this stage," he said.
Detectives have interviewed witnesses and will review CCTV footage from a nearby business.
Sergeant Radosavljevic said police had received some information regarding the identity of the offender.

"We've conducted a search of a unit here, unfortunately we haven't located that person," he said.
"We believe that person has left prior to police arrival.
"What we've done, we've closed off the streets and the unit complex - no one in, no one out - until we discover what's actually happened."
Police were unsure whether the victim and the offender were known to each other, or the circumstances leading up to the incident.
The offender was believed to have left the scene in a vehicle.
