Hosted by the Northern Young Professionals Network, in partnership with the Launceston Chamber of Commerce and the University of Tasmania, the Your Path to Leadership night aimed to give the attendees a fresh perspective into what makes a leader.
Hosted by Rachel Williams, speakers included Launceston Chamber of Commerce executive officer David Peach, Bellamy's Organic general manager people and culture Melita Cornell, and University of Tasmania lecturer Dr Toby Newstead.
Mr Peach spoke about his journey into leadership with the Chamber, discussing his successful career in IT before joining. He spoke about the power of networking and word of mouth advertising to get where you want to be in life.
Ms Cornell spoke about her experience at Bellamy's and organisational culture, as well as how the business adapted during 2020.
Dr Newstead challenged the attendees to rethink how they saw leadership, detailing how there is no unique approach to leadership and how everybody can be viewed as a leader.
