The bargain bonanza, taking place tomorrow, features more than 70 businesses offering shoppers discounts on a variety of items.

That Bath Bomb Shop owner Ashlee Morgan said the business was excited to participate.

"[It's] our first time having the shop front open and participating in the sale. It's the first sale we've had altogether at our store, so we're super excited," she said.

"Definitely, it's going to bring more people into town which means more businesses are going to have people coming through their shop doors and that is great for Launceston in general."

The business opened its first store front in November after being online for two years and create all of its handmade bath products entirely in Launceston.

"We offer something that nowhere else in Launceston has and that is handmade bath bombs created by us, made by us," Ms Morgan said.

"We don't import them from anywhere, they're handmade here in Launceston, we're Launceston made.

"It's a lot of fun. It is great to be able to put names to faces ... it's great to build relationships with people you do see weekly."

CityProm interim executive officer Amanda McEvoy said the event would be back bigger and better after an enforced hiatus due to COVID-19.

"[We're] enormously excited. It was obviously such a hard year for everybody last year so we wanted to make sure we were coming back bigger and better than ever before," she said.

"Crazy Day is something that people in Launceston know about, look forward too and hopefully we can deliver on all fronts."

Shoppers are being encouraged to check out Brisbane Street Mall as well as St John, George and Charles streets to make the most of the deals on offer.

"[It's] enormously important, one of the only reasons we've survived is because people are shopping local and discovering old and new places ... there's so much to explore, so we're really encouraging people to come out," Ms McEvoy said.

"We're very lucky because we get a lot of people who travel into Launceston as well as Launceston locals who support the event ... if anyone is in town and wants to see how Northern Tasmania puts on a show [March 27] is the day to come into town."

Crazy Day will also see live entertainers and musicians take to the streets to entertain and serenade shoppers.
