SCOTT PLUMMER
Clubs: Mowbray and Riverside
Favourite NTCA memory: Apart from playing A-grade cricket on this ground because of the history, for me I actually played in 1992 as a lead-up to the World Cup, I got selected for my first game for Tasmania against Pakistan on the day they honoured Boony.
It was a testimony for Boony and if I've got it all right they named the stand that day after him, so that was in front of 5000-plus people at this ground.
Six to eight weeks later [Pakistan] went on to win the world cup at the MCG and Tassie beat them that day.
It's hard to trump that one.
Favourite NTCA player: Played with, Mick Sellers - I learned a lot from him.
Played against, Billy Kirkman from Riverside, he was a character.
TIM COYLE
Club: Launceston
Favourite NTCA memory: Probably the period where Launceston won [four] premierships in a row - that was huge. It's always good to win one but when you can string a series of premierships together [it's fantastic].
The team evolved over that time into a real powerhouse, but we also introduced new players along the way as well to give them experience.
Favourite NTCA player: I played with a lot of good cricketers at Launceston - we stand in front of the David Boon stand and he'd be one of them.
He played a limited amount of grade cricket, but when he did play he made a huge impact and contributed in big ways for the club.
Outside that there were a number of players that resonated with me - I played under one of the better captains in David Smith, I thought he was a great captain.
We had some players through that period, one would be Gary Goodman who pushed my cricket to another level. He was bowling off-spin and played for Tasmania.
He pushed me to another level, particularly in wicket-keeping and his performances were outstanding.
ELSEWHERE IN SPORT: A-League fixtures locked in
JOHN WALKER
Club: Westbury
Favourite NTCA memory: The '79-80 grand final when we beat South Launceston.
That game had two Walkers, two Pages and two Sheltons, all brothers.
After that I've had the pleasure of playing with people like Peter Clough, state players Rob Jeffery, Emmanuel Benjamin.
It's been a great club, I played there a total of 15 years.
I was a number 10 or 11 batsman and an opening or first-change bowler.
I did get 119 not out one day, put in as nightwatchman against Mowbray when they had state players.
The following week the captain, who was Grant Page, promoted me from number 11 to number 10.
Favourite NTCA player: Boony was probably the best.
Sometimes I could get Boony out bowling off-cutters and stuff.
The last time I got him out was here at the NTCA Ground, I bowled an off-spinner and caught and bowled him - but he had 120 runs or something at the time.
ROB ARTIS
Clubs: Old Scotch and Riverside
Favourite NTCA memory: Probably when we won the Greater Northern Cup in 2002-03.
[Also] having the opportunity to play against a lot of first-class players, some of the young guys now don't get that opportunity.
Favourite NTCA player: [I remember] watching Scotty Mason getting a double hundred out the back here and Andy Belsak getting a big hundred in the final for us.
DAVID FRY
NTCA administrator
Favourite NTCA memory: My cricket career was halfway through when I turned up at the NTCA so my memories of things here are probably more to do with some of the international matches we've had here.
Pakistan was here one match and some of the [Sheffield] Shield matches we used to play at the NTCA.
That's something I'd love to see back here, although it's highly unlikely that we will the way everything is structured now and with UTAS [Stadium] set up for cricket.
I just remember being here - particularly one match with Tasmania playing Queensland in Sheffield Shield match in '87-88 - I decided to continue playing cricket at that point, found a club and kept going.
Favourite NTCA player: Probably Boony - I've seen him play a few innings here and he obviously played for Launceston for a while as well.
But watching him here in that Shield match day was pretty special.
JUAN SALTER
Club: Mowbray
Favourite NTCA memory: I played at Mowbray for 25 years and I was chairman there for a years.
When I was chairman there Ricky Ponting was announced captain of Australia, so apart from the premierships, that was a pretty big buzz from my perspective.
It's a pretty cool moment when you've got the Herald Sun and The Examiner and The Mercury and all the newspapers, ABC ringing you, it was pretty cool.
He [Ponting] did a game at Invermay Park and we had 5000 for a game when a Mowbray invitational XI played Tasmania.
Favourite NTCA player: Both Mowbray blokes - Mick Sellers and Stan Reid, they were two blokes who played at Mowbray that I had a lot of respect for.
PETER SCOTT
Club: Riverside
Favourite NTCA memory: 1981 where the club won all three premierships, first grade, second grade and third grade.
But it was more just the characters in the game, how hard we played back in the 80s that set us up for a fantastic game.
We played hard on the ground, came off and had a beer afterwards and just enjoyed each others' company and that's what this reunion's all about.
Favourite NTCA player: Probably Tony Benneworth - he was a huge influence on all of us at Riverside and in the North of Tassie.
