Sixteen-year-old Tassie Devils pair Maisie Edwards (East Launceston) and Remi Smith (South Launceston) will play in the same team for the third-straight game this weekend.

Best thing about playing for the Devils?

ME: Of course I love the sport - football is my favourite - but the girls are also a great motivation and they're all lovely. It's great having people outside of school you can chat to and just the culture around it, I've always loved it.

RS: Probably the support around it all. There's a lot of support that goes into it whether it's your first game or just at training, or if you need someone to talk to outside of it.

Who's your favourite player?

ME: I've got two - both from the Dees. Maxy Gawn, I've always loved him, and Daisy Pearce. I did a talk about her in grade seven and I dressed up as her. I love her, she's great and especially coming back after a pregnancy ... I think that's incredible.

RS: That's a hard one - I'd probably say Scott Pendlebury, he's an absolute gun.

Favourite teammate?

ME: I've got a few - I love Jemma Blair, she's been a bit like a mum for a while because she goes to school with me and played at East with me so she's always helped me out. Ella Maurer and Kara Hennessy are also lovely girls that I really enjoy playing with - I love all the girls - but they're kind of like my mums of football which I really enjoy.

RS: I do love all the girls - there's certain traits throughout them all. Ella [Maurer] and Kelsie [Hill] with their energy and how funny they are, and then you've got the mums of the group as well, so it's pretty much a whole combination.

Teammate most likely to get drafted?

ME: I'd say Ella Maurer - just her dedication to the sport is insane and just in every game you can tell she's so passionate about it. The way she attacks the ball is really impressive.

RS: Definitely Ella - she's a gun.

What's your favourite football memory?

ME: I'd have to say my first game with Devils - it was just such a great experience, it felt really professional. That feeling was really cool and it was just like a new environment which I really enjoyed.

RS: Probably my first game because everyone just gets around it and they all support you whether you need help with something in the actual game or just celebrating.
