A 17-year old male has been charged following an alleged robbery at Devonport mall last night.
The youth reportedly stole a woman's phone at 6pm.
Shoppers at Rooke Street Mall who witnessed the event gave chase to the youth, and recovered the phone.
The male was arrested, charged with aggravated robbery and appeared before the Youth Justice Court last night.

Devonport Police have expressed their thanks to the community who assisted the woman whose phone was taken.
